Dues & Financial Information
How do I verify income for a mortgage, car loan, etc.?
First –
Southwest partners with The Work Number to provide Employees and former Employees with employment verification. Third parties, like lenders or leasing agents, or social agencies who need to obtain your employment verification themselves, must be registered with The Work Number, and they’ll validate your employment online.
Here’s what you need to provide so that they can verify your employment:
- Online access for third parties: theworknumber.com; employer code 15275
- Phone number for third parties and social agencies: (800) 367-5690; employer code 15275
Second –
If the lender needs additional information outside what is provided on theworknumber.com, please submit the form using the link below:
Employee Authorization to Release Information:

For the Reason select ‘Other’
Please fill out detailed information of what is needed by the third-party in the description
Enter the name of the third party and their email address
After completing a release of authorization form, a new request will go to People Records and they will be able to complete an employment verification letter for you to be emailed to the third party. You will be emailed a copy as well.
